This section caintains answers some any frequently asked questions that we are asked.Edit Text

Q: How can I get involved?
A: Anyone can get involved with Scouting, all you need to do is contact your local Scout group or local Council who can put you in touch with the right people.
Q: How are adults vetted?
A: All our adult leaders complete CRB forms to be able to work with young people. Leaders have completed AA forms, similar to a CRB but for Leaders.
Q: What are sleeping arrangements for boys and girls?
A: Boys and girls are kept separate when sleeing away at Camp or other events. Our Scouts are provided with tents when camping outdoors or with separate rooms when indoors.
Q: How long are meetings?
A: Our Scout meetings are usually 2 hours long. This can vary per troop.
Q: What Constitutes a 'Night Away?'
A: Nights spent away from home in a tent, bivouac, Scout Hut, on a barge, sleep over etc. as part of a Scout Activity.
Q: Why do we require all sections on Health Forms completed?
A: A health form is a reference for the medical details of the people attending a Scouting event. In the event of an emergency, it will help medical authorities/personnel in deciding which is the best course of action to take. It also tells leaders about any allergies that a child may have and any medication they are taking at the time of an event. If we do not have all Health Form sections completed, we can refuse to take that respective person away on an event.
Q: If I am having trouble sending an e-mail via this website, what do I do?
A: If after the e-mail link has been opened, you still cannot send an e-mail, copy the e-mail address [ ] and copy it into your own e-mail message from your own account - Hotmail, Yahoo, Googlemail, Outloook etc.
Q: If I am having trouble downloading a file from this website, what do I do?
A: Right click on the download link, click SAVE AS and save the file to your computer. To open the file, go into your folder you saved the doucment to, double left click the file and it will open. Nearly all files from the DOWNLOADS section are ".doc" or '.pdf' files.
Q: Where do you get the cartoon-style images from that are on your website?
A: We get them from WWW.SCOUTBASE.ORG in the Clipart section. We use them for a bonafide Scouting purpose.
